Business Manager
Reports to:
President
The Business Manager is a board
appointed position. As such, it is a non-voting position on the Board. The
Business Manager oversees the financial aspects of the Company's operations and
submits the required reports to State and Federal Agencies.
Functions:
1.
Review and make suggestions regarding ticket prices and patrons'
categories.
2.
Assist Board members and officers in the development of the Company's
annual budget
3.
Represent the Company in negotiating and making contractual arrangements,
and work with producers on contracts with music companies for each show.
4.
Assist the Treasurer with reporting revenues and expenditures under the
proper classifications.
5.
Review billings to the Company periodically for accuracy.
6.
Engage an accountant to audit the financial books and records annually.
7.
File various reports and petitions as necessary with government agencies in
compliance with

Propose amendments to the Company's By-Laws so that Company operations remain in
compliance with the Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (C) (3).

File the property tax exemption with the City of

Prepare applications for various grants.
11.
Prepare cost analyses of projects as reference material for the Board of
Directors.
12.
Review the guidelines and job descriptions contained in the Policy Guide and
update the guidelines with Board approval.
13.
Provide continuity and a smooth transition by meeting with the newly appointed
Business Manager at the conclusion of your term of office.
