Show Selection Chairperson

Reports to:  Vive-President Artistic

The show selection chairperson is a member of the company and is appointed by the VP of Artistic Operations.

Duties:

1.   The chairperson will select a committee of 6 members - with a maximum of 2 elected Board members or VP or officers. The committee members should include:

a.       A board member

b.      A technical person

c.       A musical representative

d.      A company patron

e.       VP of artistic operations

2.   The chairperson will send out letters to perspective directors. Further soliciting may take place through the arts calendar in the local newspaper. No submitting director may be on the committee.

3.   The committee will meet and choose a slate of shows to be reviewed by the Board at the January meeting.

4.   After the Board has approved the slate for the upcoming season, it will be announced at the semi-annual potluck meeting.

5.   Follow-up letters are to be sent out thanking all directors for submitting and hope they will continue to submit if not chosen.
